Health

I'm no medical practitioner neither am I a RD (Registered Dietitian). I'm just a dilettante in health related issues.
I'm not sure if it has more to do with my course of study or my inquisitiveness but
I enjoy researching various topics whose explanations seem vague to me. When I started this, it was partly because of inquisitiveness and partly because of boredom. What I didn't understand was why I was always writing them down.
Well, now I know and I'm glad I followed my instincts. I knew I wanted others to read my write-ups but I didn't know how to go about it. Health magazines was a No No because I'm not a pro. I actually tried to write for one tho but I got no reply. Tsk tsk.
Please do not expect a 100% accuracy from the posts with this label. The best I can give is 85. Lol.
I hope I get to satisfy not only my own inquisitiveness but yours too.

  2. Great article. If more people in Cambodia were made aware of nutritional facts and figures then there wouldn't be so many health issues constantly arising in the country. Strokes and heart attacks are prevalent here due to misinformation.

    Thanks for publishing this.

A Literary Conversation | JANUARY

I love and enjoy reading and this year, I decided to read with more intent. Much more than the knowledge gained, the vocabulary that becomes expanded and the numerous places I travel to from reading books, I decided to actually journal about my reading activities this year and also write out lessons learnt from each book.

I read at a pace of one book a week so that should be about 4 books a month except when a book has too many pages and I have to go through it in two weeks. I actually belong to a book club but because I already had a book I wanted to start the year with, I couldn't follow the reading schedule from the onset of the month so I decided to just freestyle it for the month of January. The books I read are

1. You Have A Brain - Dr Ben Carson
2. Adored - Tilly Bagshawe
3. Small Great Things - Jodi Picoult
4. The Great Gatsby - - F. Scott Fitzgerald
To Kill A Mockingbird  - Harper Lee
    The Tumour - John Grisham

2 Months Hiatus : Where have I been?

NOWHERE

Not literally but Wow, would you guys believe that I barely even checked my blog throughout the about 2 months hiatus? I wasn't exactly that busy, maybe I was, thinking about it now but I also just don't like reading what I've posted because I don't want to go all "Omg, that's way too much information" and then probably delete a post. I've been away for so long and the hardest thing about being away for me, is coming back. Gosh, it has been so hard! I went from being busy with school work to having a break and then being busy with another school related program. During my break, I actually brought out my notepad, drafted posts, wrote down bloggable topics, searched through pinterest and every other thing. I avoided Instagram a lot because trust me, no matter how confident you think you are and how high your self esteem is, seeing that other people are posting and carrying on with the blogging process would definitely do a little something to y…

4 Cliché (Not so Cliché) Lessons From A Short Trip.

I have a love hate relationship with a lot of things and situations such as with skirts as I wrote about in this POST. I have a love hate relationship with traveling. I absolutely love to see new places, learn new things and all that but I hate the long distance that has to be traveled as a time always comes during every journey that I get claustrophobic and then there's always one or two accident scenes on the road. It's not always pretty. You'd probably think I'm talking about a 7 hours journey but No. Laugh all you want but a 3hours with almost 30 minutes journey inspired this post while I was looking out of the window at nothing in particular. I realized some lessons the journey thought me and though cliché, I thought to share it still on the blog as this act would make the lessons stick and also to reach out to someone who might need this.
