4 Style Bloggers: On basic styling tips for short dresses

This is a very special post because it's the closest I can get to having something fashion related on the blog. At least for now till I finally adjust to my new timetable. I always think of short dresses/skirts as a 'heys' dress - heys being the legit sound Nigerian men use to catcall-. I'd define a 'heys' dress for you right about now. That dress that basically gets you heys both with the mouth and the eyes. I don't know which is worse by the way. I think it has to be the former. I mean, every other person around gets to hear the heys and add to your embarrassment. What inspired this post? Well, obviously I was wearing a heys dress and even though I could have changed before leaving home, there was no time because well I finished late and I also wasn't ready to disrupt the 'timetable' for the week. . I also remembered this popular tweet about how girls would wear short dresses and start pulling it down like we didn't know it was short b...

Books Vs Movies : Would you rather read or watch?

This is definitely not up for argument as the title might imply. It is more of a discussion as I'm tired of thinking about it and explaining it to myself and others. For the longest time, I've been asked why I haven't seen a full episode of Game of Thrones or why I don't follow this or that series/ haven't seen this movie and the likes. Even though I have a few   Favorite movies of all time , I honestly find more solace in reading books for reasons I wasn't certain until recently. It was an online interview (I'd have linked back to it but it hasn't been published) and I was asked what my favorite TV show while growing up was. After thinking hard, I realized I had none and the reason was not far fetched. I grew up with my grandmother and I hardly watched TV  because there was a fixed routine during weekdays of going to school, getting back home to play for a little while, doing homework and then freestyling till night falls with the television left unt...

Tracy Whitney : If Tomorrow Comes

If you've read about me , you'd know I love to read almost anything. I'm not a bibliophile tho. I'm getting there. I just enjoy being lost in a book and tasking my brain trying to get the perfect picture the writer is trying to create. I'll never understand why I quickly and deeply fall in love with fictional characters. All it just takes is for us to have something in common or for me to have gone through a similar struggle he/she is going through. Sidney Sheldon's If Tomorrow Comes is a very special book to me because it's like the first ever novel I'd read on my phone. I used to be a sucker for hard copies but now, anything goes. Photo Credit: Google Introduction aside, let me go to the reason this post is up. Tracy Amazing Whitney! She's one of those characters you just find yourself rooting for whether they're doing good or bad. In this case, Tracy was a good girl turned bad. You know the 'When life gives you lemon, make lemonades...

People

There are certain people you meet, hear or read about and you can't help but admire something if not everything about them. Strength, talents, creativity and all. This page is for such people though right now I have none in my head. Some of them I read about in newspapers (Yes, I still read newspapers), some in magazines, some I know personally and some I know by reputation. Yes! I'm going to feature any fictional character I fall in love with. I'll do my best to bring them alive don't worry.            Enjoy. xxx
