The Liebster Blog Award. (Get to know me more)

Hey guys
Long time no post yeah? I know, right. That was the same thing I said to myself a day before. I didn't expect that to change as I have my neck deep in exams and I'm currently a convalescent. I just checked my mail and to my amazement, I realised that Tobi of journalthreesixty nominated me for the Liebster Award. I've always seen the Liebster Award thingy on blogs even before I started blogging but I didn't expect to join in on the fun so fast. Thanks Tobi 💋

The rules of the Award are quite simple. All that has to be done is

– Thank the blogger who nominated you.

– Display the Liebster Badge on your site.

– Answer the questions that were sent.

– Choose 5 (to 11) blogs to nominate.

– Send 10 questions for your nominees to answer.

1. Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging because I wanted a space to share my musings, findings and also to inspire others. Also because I needed a healthy distraction from school work.
2. Apart from blogging, what else do you do?
Study. Study. Study. I'm an Undergraduate.
3. Favourite music at the moment?
None. Weird? Not weird? Whatever.
4. Describe yourself in one sentence
I'm not just another pretty face. (Subtle, very subtle I know hahaha)
5. What's the first thing on your bucket list?
It's safe to say I don't have a bucket list at least not one with a scale of preference but to go to Athens, Greece is definitely gonna top the list.
6. What won't you be caught eating?
Anything that's not edible. Lool, I'm not a foodie, believe me.
7. What/who inspires you?
Happenings around me. Everyday occurrences in general.
8. Any Phobia?
Yes!! Literally everything there is to be scared of. Especially animals.
9. Are you a planner or spontaneous?
I'm somewhat in between. I make plans but they tend to change so I just go with the flow.
10. Share one lesson you've learnt as a blogger
Never compare your blog journey with that of others.

For someone who would rather not be at the receiving end of questions, I enjoyed answering Tobi's questions.

This thing called Fashion

I've read more than enough articles, posts, whatever and I'm still yet to come up with the word. The one defining my personal style. Simple & Conservative keeps popping up but sounds too cliché so nayyy. I'm naturally not fashion oriented . Yes , I said it. It's not a problem, never has been ; to me anyway. When I hear about how some babes spend virtually all they have just so they update their wardrobe and how they can't control it ehn, I get really thankful for how simple that part of my life is but sometimes I just want to go out of my comfort zone and take risks. Fashion risks. Imagine writing on Fashion risks worth taking and you're just there in shell, scared of venturing out. Because I was trying to adjust my hair and the sweetheart snapping me said pauseee. I can't just keep up with the constant need to make up outfit ideas. Some days, I see people, pictures and I'm just like hey, I should try that, just go for this colour instead ...

For Times When You Go From 100-0 And You Can't Explain It.

This post title is quite a mouthful simply because I couldn't find something else to describe how I felt the day I wrote this. I've been in this situation more times than I can remember. It's always exhausting and annoying. I'll be gay, exuberant and then SNAP! I'm feeling down, irritated at nothing in particular and the rest of the day becomes gloomy. No, it ain't mood swing . Or is it? The most annoying thing about this predicament is when people start asking what's wrong and I can't come up with something genuine. The occurrence that prompted this post was the most 'interesting' one ever. Here's the detail. I was having an almost perfect day doing few things online that required me to write a little something about myself. I included "I'm a PhlegMel(Yes, I believe in temperaments)" after 're-looking' up the words in the dictionary to make sure they suited me. As I was to discover later that day, that was a wro...

The Packing Series: Books

As I'm rounding off my undergraduate study, one thing I'm definitely not looking forward to is having to pack my stuff back home. I honestly don't know which I dread more, whether packing or unpacking but I sure do not enjoy either activity. I defended my final year project yesterday. See photos on my Instagram and the single most important thing I had to do next was to start packing. I decided to take it a day at a time and also start out simple. I started with books.  Packing my books wasn't as simple as you might imagine it would be because I get attached to things a lot. For example, I still have notes from my first year for reasons I can't explain (oh, I just explained it- attachment) and I didn't end up disposing many of my other books even after giving myself the pep talk on how taking 'garbage' back home is counterproductive. The aim is to keep my load as minimal as possible but with the way I still held on to class notes and jotters alik...
