Birthday Talk and Pictures

I didn't plan to do a birthday post but I realized how much fun I had going through last year's Post mentally and I decided to just put together something and then, what better way to preserve pictures than on here?
I actually did have a fun day and I realized that the last time I celebrated my birthday at home was 9 years ago when I was in JSS2. I tweeted this and somehow someone was able to accurately get my age. I'm a small girl, lol. I'm not sure I look my age tho. My new age resolution is to finally stop hiding my age, so feel free to ask me. Hehehe
I had to leave home rushing and that's something I actually do not enjoy. I didn't expect to have as much fun as I did because I was expecting very few people as most of my friends stay in Lagos but at the end of the day, I realized that less is actually more. I had an amazing surprise guest too. I wish I could blog about how thrilled I was but I'd end up writing gibberish as much as I like to think I'm good with putting down my thoughts. Lol. So this, post is going to have a picture to words ratio of 70:30 because pictures speak a thousand words. Lol

It was totally a coincidence. Now people think I love red. Someone even said I moved my own Valentine's day forward 😄😄😄

Maybe I play too much. Lol

I think I'm already exceeding the 70:30 ratio but it's allowed. Lol
I was literally forced to eat something.

Guess who miraculously got these glasses. I was too happy!

The shared laughter 💜💜💜

I definitely had fun and another highlight of the day was a gift from my brother. We just stopped by his school and he got me two lippies that managed to be exactly my fit and a eyeshadow palette I'd probably not use anytime soon but I appreciate nevertheless.
This is a rush post because the week was really busy and Fridays happen to be the busiest around here.

This thing called Fashion

I've read more than enough articles, posts, whatever and I'm still yet to come up with the word. The one defining my personal style. Simple & Conservative keeps popping up but sounds too cliché so nayyy. I'm naturally not fashion oriented . Yes , I said it. It's not a problem, never has been ; to me anyway. When I hear about how some babes spend virtually all they have just so they update their wardrobe and how they can't control it ehn, I get really thankful for how simple that part of my life is but sometimes I just want to go out of my comfort zone and take risks. Fashion risks. Imagine writing on Fashion risks worth taking and you're just there in shell, scared of venturing out. Because I was trying to adjust my hair and the sweetheart snapping me said pauseee. I can't just keep up with the constant need to make up outfit ideas. Some days, I see people, pictures and I'm just like hey, I should try that, just go for this colour instead ...

For Times When You Go From 100-0 And You Can't Explain It.

This post title is quite a mouthful simply because I couldn't find something else to describe how I felt the day I wrote this. I've been in this situation more times than I can remember. It's always exhausting and annoying. I'll be gay, exuberant and then SNAP! I'm feeling down, irritated at nothing in particular and the rest of the day becomes gloomy. No, it ain't mood swing . Or is it? The most annoying thing about this predicament is when people start asking what's wrong and I can't come up with something genuine. The occurrence that prompted this post was the most 'interesting' one ever. Here's the detail. I was having an almost perfect day doing few things online that required me to write a little something about myself. I included "I'm a PhlegMel(Yes, I believe in temperaments)" after 're-looking' up the words in the dictionary to make sure they suited me. As I was to discover later that day, that was a wro...

The Packing Series: Books

As I'm rounding off my undergraduate study, one thing I'm definitely not looking forward to is having to pack my stuff back home. I honestly don't know which I dread more, whether packing or unpacking but I sure do not enjoy either activity. I defended my final year project yesterday. See photos on my Instagram and the single most important thing I had to do next was to start packing. I decided to take it a day at a time and also start out simple. I started with books.  Packing my books wasn't as simple as you might imagine it would be because I get attached to things a lot. For example, I still have notes from my first year for reasons I can't explain (oh, I just explained it- attachment) and I didn't end up disposing many of my other books even after giving myself the pep talk on how taking 'garbage' back home is counterproductive. The aim is to keep my load as minimal as possible but with the way I still held on to class notes and jotters alik...
