Birthday Talk and Pictures

I didn't plan to do a birthday post but I realized how much fun I had going through last year's Post mentally and I decided to just put together something and then, what better way to preserve pictures than on here?
I actually did have a fun day and I realized that the last time I celebrated my birthday at home was 9 years ago when I was in JSS2. I tweeted this and somehow someone was able to accurately get my age. I'm a small girl, lol. I'm not sure I look my age tho. My new age resolution is to finally stop hiding my age, so feel free to ask me. Hehehe
I had to leave home rushing and that's something I actually do not enjoy. I didn't expect to have as much fun as I did because I was expecting very few people as most of my friends stay in Lagos but at the end of the day, I realized that less is actually more. I had an amazing surprise guest too. I wish I could blog about how thrilled I was but I'd end up writing gibberish as much as I like to think I'm good with putting down my thoughts. Lol. So this, post is going to have a picture to words ratio of 70:30 because pictures speak a thousand words. Lol

It was totally a coincidence. Now people think I love red. Someone even said I moved my own Valentine's day forward πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

Maybe I play too much. Lol

I think I'm already exceeding the 70:30 ratio but it's allowed. Lol
I was literally forced to eat something.

Guess who miraculously got these glasses. I was too happy!

The shared laughter πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

I definitely had fun and another highlight of the day was a gift from my brother. We just stopped by his school and he got me two lippies that managed to be exactly my fit and a eyeshadow palette I'd probably not use anytime soon but I appreciate nevertheless.
This is a rush post because the week was really busy and Fridays happen to be the busiest around here.

Quick Life Update : The Abusive Relationship I Am In

I trusted him completely but he broke my heart and still is in the business of breaking it. His promise to always be with me Everywhere I Go was alas a lie. He said that only to catch my attention and make me his. He gave me mouth-watering packages that offered me less for more but it turned out to be a façade. I'm tired and frustrated. I can't carry out my normal routine with all he's been doing. I trusted him just this once and he disappointed me. I never should have promoted him from the zone I placed him in initially. I remember all the times I heard people complain about theirs and I was always relieved I wasn't in their shoes but guess where I am now? I guess that's what life does. Sit in a corner and laugh at you. Nice job.
He looks so attractive on the outside but deep down, there's nothing exciting about  him. A big fat faΓ§ade. I miss the things I could have been doing if I hadn't made the mistake of trusting him too much. His favourite colour is …

The Packing Series: Books

As I'm rounding off my undergraduate study, one thing I'm definitely not looking forward to is having to pack my stuff back home. I honestly don't know which I dread more, whether packing or unpacking but I sure do not enjoy either activity. I defended my final year project yesterday. See photos on myInstagram and the single most important thing I had to do next was to start packing. I decided to take it a day at a time and also start out simple. I started with books.

Packing my books wasn't as simple as you might imagine it would be because I get attached to things a lot. For example, I still have notes from my first year for reasons I can't explain (oh, I just explained it- attachment) and I didn't end up disposing many of my other books even after giving myself the pep talk on how taking 'garbage' back home is counterproductive. The aim is to keep my load as minimal as possible but with the way I still held on to class notes and jotters alike, I kn…

MY TOP 5 CHRISTMAS DESTINATIONS

Every year, when the kitchen workload that comes with a Christmas 'party' in my house begins, I always make it a point of duty to tell my mum that stressing ourselves on this day is counterproductive because it's a holiday and to me, holidays mean rest. How nice would it be to just go out and chill or stay at home and sleep or better still, just not have any guests (too much?). Along with these thoughts and whinings is always this part of me daydreaming about how I'd make sure Christmas is much more different for me when I start a family of my own. One of the activities that always pop up, year in, year out is traveling to someplace fun to sightsee, relax and make new memories.
I honestly think that in one's lifetime, it would be fun to visit as many countries as possible but taking many many factors into consideration such as the fact that there are 195 countries in the world, how feasible is that and how many is actually 'many'? I however have a list of …
