Blogiversary 01 : Laitanbee.com is 1!

Whoop Whoop. It's February 21st. The first day I hit publish on this web space of mine. I can remember writing that Post  and wondering if it would be enough and if I'd be able to pull this blogging stuff off. I think I was too nervous the day I published it because not only can I not remember where I was on that day, I didn't even bother noting the date till I saw a blogger celebrating her Blogiversary and I went "Omg, I didn't note the date" like the blogger app wouldn't put in the date. Lol I can't believe it's been up to a year. Like, I had to check again. It was so overwhelming that I had to take the whole of last week off. I didn't do anything blogging related. One of the very first posts I wrote was on how I got the idea to blog and even though I haven't published it till this day, I go over it and I realize everything can be summarised into one word : Epiphany. My story isn't the one where I've always wanted loved wri...

4 Secondary School Habits that never left (+2 I wish stayed)

If you already read My Jumping Tale post, you'd probably think I'm doing a sort of personal educational recap but I'm not. There's definitely a such thing as coincidence. This post has been sitting pretty unfinished till today when during my sister's birthday outing, one of the topics we had fun discussing was our secondary aka high school and all its drama. It brought back cool memories and I even remembered some people I'd forgotten about so I just decided to take advantage of that and finish this up! Whether you went to a boarding school or not, one thing that is certain is there would be few habits or ways of doing things in secondary school aka high school that never really left you and probably might never do. I mean, it's 6 years as I'm pretty sure there were hardly any cases of jumping . Even though I always have this nagging feeling that I didn't have as much fun as possible back then, I definitely have certain habits that stuck and I...

Life Diary || January

Even though I know you've read about how January took so long and probably whined about it too a thousand and one times, I'm sorry you'd have to read about it here again. New years' day feels like 6 months ago to me and I'm not even exaggerating. Despite the fact that I didn't really have much fun last month, I wasn't really waiting for February to come so that I'd start living the way I wanted to. It's all part of the process and it has to be enjoyed no matter how hard it may seem. I think I experienced literally every emotion there is to experience last month because my tired was just tired and there were a whole lot of things to learn, accept and realize. - Whatever is yours will always come back to you : When this hit me, I realized that I've always looked at it from the relationship angle because well, that's where I always come across it 80% of the time till I almost lost my subscribers. Long story, how that happened. Scratch tha...

My Jumping Tale

Am I the only one who lowkey misses those primary school days when all that was our concern was collecting daily allowance to spend on yogurt and the likes? Can't be. I actually attended two primary schools. One where I started and was always getting into different kinds of trouble ranging from bursting into a class and talking to who I came to see without acknowledging the teacher a lot of times till he finally got tired of me and whopped my ass to getting my teacher all smelly and stained because I got unboiled eggs for an assignment instead of boiled ones and the other school where I spent just a session before going to secondary school. I happened to be this exceptionally brilliant child in primary school which I guess made certain people believe so much in me that they felt I'd thrive so well in secondary school without necessarily completing my primary school education. So maybe I did thrive well but recently, I realized that I didn't thrive as well as I could have...

The Small Things!

Have you wanted anything so bad but for some reasons you couldn't get it? I definitely have and it isn't a very pleasant feeling. I mentioned in my last post HERE  that the first few days of this year have been somewhat gloomy for me for way too many reasons I can't share right now. Also, I wanted something badly, there was no way I could get it and that's equal to lots of frustration if not controlled. Last week, I actually prayed for a surprise not exactly with what I wanted in mind. I just wanted something different and pleasant to happen and I wanted this surprise before the end of that week. Towards the end of the week, I started wondering why I hadn't gotten any surprise and then I realised I actually did get a surprise. Maybe not exactly what I hoped it would be but finding a thousand naira note in a bag I'd totally forgotten about counts as some surprise. 2017 I heard is going to be a year of pleasant surprises according to men of God and I'm so...

LIFE| HELLO 2017!

Hi guyss, Let me just drop in like I went nowhere. Happy New Year!! It's 2017,yo! That means 2007 was just 10 years ago and 2020 is in 3 years! Which is more scary? If you ask me, I'd say the latter and that's probably because most people talk about vision 2020 for certain projects and all that and moreover I don't think anyone ever witnessed a 1010. Okay, I digress. I'm typing this right now on my phone by 1am with the post title space blank because I don't know what I'm going to write on. I just had a huge spontaneous moment some seconds ago and here I am. It's the second week of the new year and I'm just kind of uninterested in a lot of things, well except Twitter as I've left the scroll and retweet gang and I've been tweeting. You can follow me HERE . I don't know if this is bad or not but I can already envision the last post of this year by December and how I'd talk about the first few days of the year and how they didn...

A Retrospective Account of 2016!

I honestly entered this year with little/no dreams or aspirations. There were no 'this year, I must do this' talks. I was just normal. Nothing more, nothing less. Using my phone's gallery as a guide, I decided to break my 2016 down and lessons learnt. This post might be picture overload but I'd try to keep it short and simple. JANUARY No blog post from me because this blog didn't exist till sometime around 24th and I still wasn't sure. I wasn't particularly ecstatic about it because I made the mistake of wanting everything to be perfect not just before starting but even before telling anyone. I probably told just two people because I didn't want any external motivation which turned out well if you ask me. The highlight of the month for me apart from having a blog URL in my name was baking bread rolls for the first time. FEBRUARY  I had to resume school and that kinda put blog work on the back end but I still managed to publish my first post on...
